Webmail
SBI! Legacy Webmail allows you to handle all email to and from your Solo Build It! site through your browser...
-
from Site Central
-
directly from webmail.sitesell.com or webmail2.sitesell.com and entering your username and password.
There are many advantages to SBI! Webmail...
-
Retrieve your email directly from your browser, no matter where you are in the world, no matter whose computer you're using.
-
Many ISPs (e.g., aol.com, comcast.com) insist that you use their mail servers -- even to the point that they want you to use their domain names in your email address when you send mail (an anti-spam measure, but it limits you).
However, using a non-business domain name for business purposes reduces your professionalism.
-
It gives an extra layer of protection/flexibility. If your ISP's mail server is down, you can still get email via Webmail. You'll never be "cut off" from email accessibility.
-
The convenience saves you time. Handle your email under the same "roof" as the rest of your SBI! business.
-
It's like having your own Outlook.com, Gmail or Yahoo! Mail account. Actually, it's much better... it's your own domain name, which is much more professional.
The biggest drawback to Outlook.com, Gmail or Yahoo! Mail is the damage to your business reputation -- they look "cheap." Associates and potential clients will doubt the credibility of your business if you use a free email address.
-
Email is stored on SiteSell's mail servers, not on your computer. No need to back up or worry about losing email -- we protect all that data for you.
Important Note
You can continue to receive and send email via your usual email software (e.g., Outlook, Apple Mail, etc.). We recommend doing it either one way or the other... but if you do both, please note...
If you get your email via SBI! Webmail, and then either delete it or transfer it from your Inbox to other folders, your usual client-side email software will not be able to get that email since moving mail out of the Inbox empties it.
Your usual client-side email software can only pick up email that's still in Webmail's Inbox.
Also (depending on how you've set up the preferences for your usual email software), if you get your email there first, that may empty your Webmail Inbox. So you will not be able to get that same mail through Webmail. (It's the same situation in reverse -- all mail programs get mail from the Inbox.)
So set your Webmail and client-side preferences according to how you want to handle email.
How Does It Work?
Webmail works like the major Web-based email services. If you're familiar with Outlook.com, Gmail or Yahoo! Mail, it's easy to use.
If this is your first time using a browser to handle email, don't worry -- Webmail is simple and intuitive.
Simply click on the relevant question mark help button (or on each of the linked headings below) for help as you explore each of the four major sections of Webmail...
Folders: read, file, reply and sort your emails.
Create Message: create and send email.
Preferences: modify your Webmail preferences.
Address Book: build a list of your most frequent contacts.
Warnings...
1) SiteSell takes its anti-spam commitment seriously. Therefore, we will terminate any Webmail account that spams or otherwise violates SBI!'s Grounds for Termination.
2) Webmail is for personal and business correspondence, not for mass commercial email. Please use MailOut Manager to send your newsletter.
Any attempt to use Webmail to send unsolicited commercial email will result in termination of your Webmail account.
Webmail Disk Space Specifications
SiteSell's Webmail provides you with 250 MB of free storage space with which to do your business.
Whenever you have 245 MB of data or more stored on the Webmail servers, you'll receive a warning when you log into Webmail. That message will tell you that you're approaching the 250 MB limit and to delete large attachments, etc.
If you don't, your email will be bounced back to the sender once you reach 250 MB.
To stay within your 250 MB storage limit, clean up your folders periodically, download appropriate, verified attachments to your hard drive, and delete them from Webmail.
Also review and delete all Sent messages (if you save them). A little regular maintenance will keep you well under your limit!
This is unlikely to apply to you, but if you really do need more storage space, please contact Support via...
https://support.sitesell.com/contact-support.html
You can buy additional blocks of storage of 100 MB for US$44.95 per year.
