Webmail Address Book

The Address Book is the place to add and edit the names and email addresses of your most frequent contacts.

Once a contact is in your Address Book, you can select your intended recipient while creating an email simply by clicking on the name directly from the Address Book.

Important

The list of contacts in your Address Book will grow. Plan for that now. In order to distinguish between your contacts as your list grows, we recommend you use the following format for naming contacts...

Lastname_Firstname (you need the underscore as this must be one word. Last_First is highly recommended).

If you follow this format, and keep it consistent as your contact list evolves, managing and using your Address Book will be greatly simplified.

Add a Contact Name

Directions for Use
  • Enter the person's name in the Add Contact Name text box. Click on the Create button.
  • Enter the person's Full Name of Contact in the text entry box, using Lastname_Firstname format.
  • Enter the Email Address in the text entry box.
  • Click on the Add button to add the contact.

If you're adding a new contact to your Address Book, enter the name of your contact in the Add Contact Name text entry box, and then click the Create button.

When the page refreshes, enter the required information into the two new fields...

1) In the Full Name of Contact text entry box, enter the full name of your contact in the following format...

Lastname_Firstname (an underscore separates the two names)

2) In the Email Address text entry box, enter the email address for that contact.

3) Click the Add button. This refreshes the page, and you will now see your new contact in the drop-down menu in the Edit or Delete section.

When you begin, you'll have no contacts in your address book, so the drop-down menu to the right of Edit or Delete Contact Name will contain no contacts.

Just keep repeating the above process to add new contacts.

Once you've added contacts to your Address Book, they'll appear in the Address Book drop-down menu.

Modifying and Deleting Contacts

The time will come when you may want to modify certain contacts (add info, edit existing info, delete)...

When you add an email address to your contacts in your Address Book, it's also automatically added to your whitelist. And if you delete or modify that address, the same change occurs in your whitelist.

You can turn off Whitelist-filtering. If you do turn it off (not generally recommended), Spam 'n Virus Blast It! continues to automatically update your whitelist (e.g., adding addresses collected through newsletter subscriptions, Form Build It!, etc.).

When you decide to turn whitelist-filtering back on, all you have to do is export the "Address Book" from your client-side email software and upload that list of personal and business contact addresses to your whitelist.
