There are many advantages to WebMail...
- Retrieve your e-mail directly from your browser, no matter where you are in the world, no matter whose computer you're using.
- More and more ISPs (ex., aol.com, msn.com) are insisting that you use their mail servers -- even to the point that they want you to use their domain names in your e-mail address when you mail out (anti-spam, but it limits you). However, using a non-business domain name for business purposes reduces your professionalism.
- It gives an extra layer of protection/flexibility. If your ISP's mail server is down, you can still get e-mail via WebMail. You'll never be "cut off" from e-mail accessibility.
- The convenience saves you time. Handle your e-mail under the same "Site Central roof" as the rest of your SBI! business.

It's like having your own Hotmail, Gmail or Yahoo! Mail account. Actually, it's much better... it's your own domain, which is much more professional. The biggest drawback to Hotmail, Gmail or Yahoo! Mail is the damage to your business reputation -- they look "cheap." Associates and potential clients will doubt the credibility of your business if you use a free e-mail address.
And there are no ads in WebMail! (Hey, those three have to pay for that free disk space somehow!)
- E-mail is stored on our computers, not yours. No need to backup or worry about losing e-mail -- we protect all that data for you.
Special Note
You can continue to receive and send e-mail via your usual e-mail software (ex., Outlook, Eudora, etc.). We recommend doing it either one way or the other... but if you do both, please note...
If you get your e-mail via SBI! WebMail, and then either delete it or transfer it from your Inbox to other folders, your usual client-side e-mail software will not be able to get that e-mail since moving mail out of the Inbox empties it. Your usual client-side e-mail software can only pick up e-mail that is still in WebMail's Inbox.
Also (depending on how you have set up the preferences for your usual e-mail software), if you get your e-mail there first, that may empty your mail Inbox. So you will not be able to get that same mail through WebMail. (It's the same situation in reverse -- all mail programs get mail from the Inbox.)
So set your WebMail and client-side preferences according to how you want to handle e-mail.
How Does It Work?
Easy...
WebMail works like the major Web-based e-mail services. If you are familiar with Hotmail, Gmail or Yahoo! Mail, you will find it a breeze to use.
If this is your first time using a browser to handle e-mail, don't worry -- WebMail is simple and intuitive. Simply click on the relevant question mark help button (or on each of the linked headings below) for help as you explore each of the four major sections of WebMail...
Folders: read, file, reply and sort your e-mails.
Create Message: create and send e-mail.
Preferences: modify your WebMail preferences.
Address Book: build a list of your most frequent contacts.
Warnings...
1) SiteSell takes its anti-spam commitment seriously. Therefore, we will terminate any WebMail account that spams or otherwise violates SBI!'s Grounds for Termination.
2) WebMail is for personal and business correspondence, NOT for mass commercial e-mail. Please use MailOut Manager to send your e-zine. Any attempt to use WebMail to send unsolicited commercial e-mail will result in termination.
WebMail Disk Space Specifications
SiteSell's WebMail provides you with 25 MB of free storage space with which to do your business.
Whenever you have 20MB of data or more stored on the WebMail servers, you will receive a warning when you log into WebMail. That message will tell you that you are approaching the 25MB limit and to delete large attachments, etc. If you don't, your e-mail will be bounced back to the sender once you reach 25MB.
To stay within your 25 MB storage limit, clean up your folders periodically, download appropriate, verified attachments to your hard drive, and delete them from WebMail. Also review and delete all Sent messages (if you save them). A little regular maintenance will keep you well under your limit!
