Images are an important part of your site.
They break up large chunks of text, and they can clarify an important idea you want to make to your visitors.
They can also drive traffic to your site (through image search at the search engines) when they're properly optimized.
If you have an image that's relevant to the page content you're about to publish, add it (or more than one) to your page.
Upload New Image
- Click on the Browse button (Choose File if using Safari).
- Select the image to upload.
- Add a Descriptive Name.
- Click on Upload to Image Library and Add Image to Page.
The Upload New Image tool allows you to add individual images to the Image Library and automatically add them to the page you're building.
If you want to upload 10 at one time, use the Image Library's tools.
To add a new image using the selector, click on the Browse button (Choose File if using Safari). Select the image you want to upload and add to the page.
Type in a Descriptive Name so that you can easily select that image from the Image Selector tool at a later date.
If you don't add a Descriptive Name, you'll see a message about adding one. SBI! will use the text you use for the Descriptive Name as the alt text for the image, if you don't add custom alt text in the Image Block.
Click on the Upload to Image Library and Add Image to Page button to add it to the library and to your page.
Select Image
- Click on Library Images or Product Images. If you created folders in the Image Library, click on one here.
- View by Name or Description to help you find the image you want.
- Sort by A-z or Z-a to help you find the image you want. Or click on Last uploaded. Or do a find by typing some text into the text box next to the magnifying glass.
- Click on the image you want to add.
- Click on the Add Selected Image to Page or Select button.
To add an image that's already in your Image Library, click on either Library Image or Product Images (for SiteSell Affiliate Program affiliate images) in the left column of the Select Image section.
If you created folders in the Image Library and moved some of the image files to folders, click on a folder in the left column, below Library Images, to help you find your image more quickly.
Click on the image you want to add. A thumbnail version of that image (for Library images only) will appear to the right of the file name.
If that's the correct image, click on Add Selected Image to Page to add the image from the library. Or click on Select to add a Product image to the page.
If you need help finding an image, you can show only those that are not in folders, or by file name/descriptive name.
You can also sort them in alphabetical or reverse alphabetical order. Or by the date last uploaded.
You can also use the "find as you type" filter. For example, if you can't think of the file name or the name you gave to an image, but know it has a certain letter combination, you can enter that combo and the system will return only images with that letter combo.
To use this filter, click into the type of image you want to use (Library Images or Product Images), then type the letter combination into the text box to the right of the small magnifying glass.
If your letter combo is "rt," type that into the box. All the images containing "rt" in the file name or description will appear in the list. The letters you typed in will be highlighted in each file name.
As you continue to add letters, the number of images in the list will shrink.
Once you've selected the image you want to add to the page, click on the Add Selected Image to Page button (for Library Images) or Select button (for Product Images).
