Mobilize It!

Mobilize It! for BB2 users allows you to offer a version of your BB2 pages that's optimized for mobile phones (smartphones).

Mobilize It! for BB1 users allows you to offer a version of your BB1 pages that's optimized for mobile phones.

For BB2 pages, the design work is done in Site Designer. For BB1 pages, the current design of your pages is used to create a mobile version.

Optimizing your BB2 page content layout for mobile users is done in BB2. For BB1 pages, if there's anything that needs to be altered to give a better user experience, do that in BB1.

This tool has two sliders. The top one activates Mobilize It! for BB2. If you have any BB1 pages, the bottom slider activates Mobilize It! for those pages.

You can then design the mobile version and optimize the pages (BB2 pages only). When you're done, test your site on mobile phones without mobile visitors seeing it until it's ready. Do this for both BB2 and BB1 pages.

And once a sample of your pages look great in mobile, return here to make both BB2 and BB1 pages go live for all mobile visitors.

BB1 Pages

If you have only BB1 pages on your site, also activate the BB2 version of Mobilize It!, as some system-generated pages are BB2 (Content 2.0 templates, FBI! Thank You page template, MailOut Manager pages template, and the no-such-url.html page).

Directions for Use
  • Click on the TEST gray circle for the slider at the bottom.

To activate Mobilize It! for BB1, click on the TEST gray circle in the slider at the bottom. The green button will slide over to TEST.

To give mobile users a good experience, only the page content is shown at the top (no Nav or Right column is shown). To give them a way to navigate your site, Mobilize It! puts a navigation button at the top, just under the header/logo image. The default word on the button is Menu.

We recommend using Menu as that is what most mobile users expect to see. However, if you want to change it, replace Menu in the text box with the word you want to use.

Click on the Update Mobilize It! button.
