Pic It!

If you use photos on your site (and you should be, to add color to your site, and to break up large blocks of text), at some point you'll need to resize a few, or crop some, or add a watermark to protect them from being used on other sites.

PicMonkey is an easy-to-use, free browser-based photo editing tool that will let you do all of these tasks, and more. PicMonkey works with PCs and Macs (even Linux), so you don't need to invest hundreds of dollars in an image-editing application for your computer.

And now it works directly from the Image Library. Follow the instructions below to edit your image in PicMonkey.

Uploading a Photo

Directions for Use
  • Click on Browse (Choose File in Safari).
  • Select the photo to be uploaded.
  • Enter a descriptive name for the photo.
  • Click on the Pic It! button.

You need to upload a photo to PicMonkey in order to edit it. That is what you do here on the tool page.

Click on the Browse button (Choose File if you're using Safari). Browse to and select the photo file you want to upload. The file name or its path will appear to the right of the button.

Select and Describe Image

Click on the Pic It! button to begin the move to PicMonkey.

Saving Your Photo

Directions for Use
  • Click on Save at the bottom of the white column to save the photo to your Image Library.
  • In the manager, move your image into a folder, if desired.

Click on Save at the bottom of the left column of PicMonkey.

Once the image is uploaded, you will see a Here's What Happened page. If you want to edit another photo, click on the Edit Another Image button to return to the browse and select tool.

Remember to move the image into a folder in the manager, if desired.
