Using the Custom Style
The Style: Custom template provides a range of interesting design options. You can...
- use the Additional Themes for Style: Custom.
- upload your own images (if you created or purchased them).
- use SBI!'s online image creators (or graphic tools).
Additional Themes for Style: Custom
The full collection of Additional Themes is available here (click to open a new window). Select a theme that best reflects your site's topic and then download its package. The package contains three Site Elements image files.
Do the necessary modifications with your own graphic software (if applicable), and then upload the image files via the Style: Custom section on the Look & Feel Selector tool page...
After uploading the Site Elements images (which form the foundation of your L&F), you can then finalize your Logo and NavBar.
Important Note
If you decide that you want to have a 3-column design (by clicking on the 3 columns button in the Style: Custom L&F Selector), then you will need to "stretch" the top image to 960 pixels. See this TNT article for instructions on how to do that...
- Download the theme package you want to use.
- Use a graphics program to customize the image files, or create your own images.
- Upload the files to the Site Elements of the Style: Custom section.
- Add the Logo. Customize the NavBar.
- Select the 2 column option or the 3 column option.
- Align your site to the Left or Center.
- Click on Preview to ensure you like the overall L&F. Make any changes until you're satisfied.
- Save all the changes to create your default site template.
Tips

If you download a theme package, supplement the general instructions and help with the specific points in the UsingThisStyle.txt file that comes with the package.
It contains good suggestions as to which fonts, colors, and effects to use for your Logo and NavBar. They are matched up specifically for the style you choose. Read it -- it's a good starting point for your design.
- Each of the Additional Themes for Style: Custom offers two color choices. Remember, too, that you can always (for example) copy-and-paste a football image over a soccer ball image to match your site's specific topic.
- If you download a theme, you can add your own Logo to the Top Image, save it, and then upload the file. (Please note... do not use the "Create/Customize Logo" tool to add it.)
- Save time by using the Preview buttons regularly to view any changes you make.
- You can make changes to the Site Elements, Logo, NavBar or 2/3 column option at any time (even after you've built your site), until you're happy with your L&F.
