Form Block
If you haven't already done so, create a form first. The possibilities include but are not limited to a Contact form, a survey/poll, a registration form, or a pay-per-lead form. Be creative!
Click on the "Form Build It! Library" button in Site Central's "Libraries" section and then return here when you are finished.
Keep in mind that if you need to make revisions to any of your forms, editing work is also done in the Form Build It! Library.
The Form Block lets you insert a form wherever you want it on your page. Use only one form per page, and make it front and center. This will improve your chances that a visitor will complete and submit the form.
If possible, also provide your visitor with some incentive to submit. For example, offer a free report, or a discount on your product or service, or anything else that attracts participation.
- Choose Form: Select which form you want to insert using this block.
- Form Width: Choose the % width of the page you want the form to fill.
- Background Color: Select the Background Color of the form.
-
Border: Choose whether or not to put a border around your form.
If you click the "Yes" radio button, also select the Border Size (thickness) and Border Color.
- Alignment: Select how you want the form aligned on the page.
Tips
- If you edit a form, you need to select the form again using the Form Block. If you don't select it again, and then rebuild the page, the edited form will not work.
- To see the different alignments, your Form Width must be set to less than 100%.
- Leave the Background Color set to "None" if you want the color of the form to be the same as the color of the Web page. You can Preview colors by clicking on the link.
- When choosing Borders, if you click the Yes radio button, also select the Border Size (thickness) and Border Color.
- Generally, long copy should be aligned to the left. You can center short copy for effect, but use this action sparingly.
- If you plan to offer a freebie, add the link to its download on the Thank You page, which you can customize in Form Build It!.
