Set Your Site Page Defaults
Start by choosing whether or not you want your footer to appear on all pages automatically...
Directions for Use
Select your page defaults...
- Set all pages to have this footer, unless opted-out.
- Set all pages to NOT have this footer, unless opted-in.
- Put Powered By SBI! link below your footer?
- Make footer a link?
- Alignment of Left, Centered or Right.
To make your footer a link, add a check to the box. This will display the following options...
- Choose Link: Click on the drop-down menu and select a link from your Link Library. Or enter a new link by naming it and entering the URL.
- Mouseover Text: Enter the text visitors will see in the status bar (lower left edge of the browser window) when hovering the mouse over this link.
- Open New Window: Choose whether or not to open the link in a new browser window.
Default #1 -- Set all pages to have this footer, unless opted-out.
Choose this option if you want your footer on most of your pages. You can "opt-out" on a page-by-page basis using the Other Page Options when you create or edit your page.
Default #2 -- Set all pages to NOT have this footer, unless opted-in.
Choose this option if you want your footer on only a few of your pages. In this case, you can "opt-in" on a page-by-page basis using the Other Page Options when you create or edit your page.
Default #3 -- Put Powered By SBI! link below your footer?
If you select this option, SBI! will also include the Powered By SBI! link (coded with your SiteSell Affiliate Program RR URL) below your footer. This is a powerful monetization option that you can add to your pages automatically.
Default #4 -- Make footer a link?
You can make all the text in the footer a link by selecting this option (but see the Tips section below for an important alternative).
Default #5 -- Alignment
Select how you want the footer aligned on the page.
Build Your Footer
Building your footer is easy, if you decide to use this feature on your site.
In the Footer Text field, enter what your visitors will read and then set up how you want it to be displayed.
- Background - Choose the background color of the footer image.
- Border - If you click the Yes checkbox, also select the Size (thickness) and Color.
- Typeface - Select your preferred Font, Size and Color.
- Divider Above - If you click the Yes checkbox, also select the Size (thickness), Width and Color.
- Footer Text - Enter the text. Then select the Alignment for the text.
- Divider Below - If you click the Yes checkbox, also select the Size (thickness), Width and Color.
The larger the font size, or the more text you add to the footer, the larger the footer will grow. Keep your font size around the same size as your page content.
Tips
- For a streamlined, professional look, select a background color that compliments the background color of your page. Or choose Transparent and have the footer be the same color as your page.
- Use the Preview It! button to view what the footer will look like on a page of your site.
-
You can enter HTML in the text field, including <strong>, <em>, <p> and </p> tags. You can also make just one word, phrase or sentence a link (instead of setting Default #4 to Yes) by copying this HTML code for a link and pasting it into the Footer Text box...
<a href="http://destinationURL">text of the link</a>
Replace destinationURL with the full URL of the destination link, and then replace text of the link with your link text.
If you do manually add a link to the footer text, when you click on the Preview It! or Build It! button, an alert will open, advising you that SBI! will uncheck the "Make Footer a Link?" checkbox. This will prevent some text from having two links conflicting with each other.
