Footer
The footer is a message that will appear at the very bottom of all or selected Web pages on your site.
FooterBuilder creates an image file, not a text file. You can make that graphic a link, if you wish.
There are several reasons for the graphic format...
- It doesn't disturb your ranking at the Search Engines.
- Analyze It! ignores it so it doesn't "skew" your on-page SEO results.
- You can easily color the background and do other design changes.

To make your footer a link...
- Choose Link: Click on the drop-down menu and select a link from your Link Library. Or enter a new link by naming it and entering the URL.
- Mouseover Text: Enter the text visitors will see in the status bar (lower left edge of the browser window) when hovering the mouse over this link.
- Open New Window: Choose whether or not to open the link in a new browser window.
Default #1 -- Set all pages to have this footer, unless opted-out.
Choose this option if you want your footer on most of your pages. You can "opt-out" on a page-by-page basis using the Other Page Options when you create or edit your page.
Default #2 -- Set all pages to NOT have this footer, unless opted-in.
Choose this option if you want your footer on only a few of your pages. In this case, you can "opt-in" on a page-by-page basis using the Other Page Options when you create or edit your page.
Default #3 -- Put Powered By Site Build It! image underneath your footer?
If you select this option, SBI! will also include the Powered By Site Build It! image (coded with your 5 Pillar Program RR URL) underneath your footer. This is a powerful monetization option that you can add to your pages automatically.
Default #4 -- Make footer a link?
Remember, your footer is a graphic file that you can make into a link.
Default #5 -- Alignment
Select how you want the footer aligned on the page.

- Typeface and Color - Select your preferred typeface and choose your text color.
- Divider Above - If you click the Yes checkbox, also select the Size (thickness), the width and color.
- Footer Text - Enter the text.

Tips
- For a streamlined, professional look, select a background color that matches the background of your page.
- Use the Preview It! button frequently while you're building your footer.
- Because the footer is made into an image, the only formatting you can use is typeface and color.
-
You cannot enter HTML in the Text field.
SBI!, however, does add the following ALT tag to the graphic -- "KEYWORD End of Page" where "KEYWORD" is your Specific Keyword for each individual page. This gives you a slight boost at some Search Engines.
-
If you want to add a copyright ©, trademark ™ or registered trademark ® symbol, copy the symbol from this sentence and then paste it into the Text field.
Important Note: Not all of the fonts available for the footer will display the copyright or trademark symbols. Some will also not display numbers. Check the preview of your footer before deciding on a font if you need to display these characters.
