Opt-In E-zine Block
A visitor to your site may only ever visit once. So you need a way to visit her... over and over again. The way to do that is through your own e-zine.
(If you haven't already done so, set up your e-zine first. Click on the "MailOut Manager" button in the "Activity Center" section of Site Central's BusinessCenter and then return here.)
Use the Opt-In E-zine Block to...
- place invitations to subscribe to your e-zine in any of your Web pages where such an invitation would naturally fit or...
- on a special page that is dedicated to "selling" your e-zine.
This block gets the subscription ball rolling. It adds the simple opt-in form wherever you want it on a page.
Tips
- Use Text and other types of blocks before and/or after this block to create the proper context for your subscription form within the natural flow of the page. That location could also include the bottom of some of your pages (after the main content of the page, of course).

If you are placing the form within the main body of the page, select the To the Right radio button. Editing the label is optional.
- Keep the pre-filled First Name Entry Box as is or edit it.

First Name

If you do edit the E-mail Address label, you must retain the words "E-mail Address," and they must be the last words before the address entry box. If they are not in that location, the opt-in form will not work.

You can "spread out" somewhat if you're placing the opt-in subscription form in the main body of the Web page itself. This is how the form would look if you choose the "To the Right" option and leave the entry box labels unchanged. It's too wide for the left margin but looks about right for placement in the body of your page...

If you create a special page dedicated to selling your subscription, give it some extra exposure. Use the "Edit a SiteBuilder Home Page" tool to make this page "pop-under" the home page. That way, when your visitor leaves the home page, this "sub sales" page will be waiting to show itself.
Note, however, that you cannot use pop-unders (or pop-ups) if you want to display AdSense ads on your site.
