Uploading Your Own HTML Pages
Use your favorite HTML editor and graphics software to create content pages and then integrate them into the SBI! database by following the uploading process step-by-step. Carefully review the SBI! Integration Guidelines on the Upload Your Own HTML tool page to make sure all goes well.
This module gives you design flexibility and increased productivity. But keep in mind that you are responsible for the HTML coding on your pages. Like any Web host, it's not possible for SiteSell Support to act as HTML or javascript (etc.) consultants.
One last thing before you begin...
All successful SBI! sites are built upon a solid foundation of research, preparation, and proper page construction, as outlined in the Action Guide. If you haven't done so yet, take the time to read the building advice in DAY 6 of the Action Guide and/or watch its video before you continue.
Did you start your SBI! site using the block-by-block SiteBuilder and are now ready to make the transition?
Your SiteBuilder experience taught you how to properly build a page that pleases both human and spider visitors. That goal doesn't change when you upload your own pages. You are just using different tools to achieve the same result.
There is no need to re-do your entire site. That would be a "make work" project. SBI! gives you a "transition template" that is based upon your current block-built L&F. Use this template with your HTML editor to build new content pages.
Or, if you prefer, design your own template with your HTML editor and graphics software. It's all under your control!
Get off on the right foot by reading this helpful transition TNT article. An example takes you through the process, from getting your transition template to uploading a page. Smooth and easy!
